It’s no secret that Canadians love Arizona with an estimated 500,000 Canadians visiting each winter. Beginning Saturday, the Phoenix area honors our Canadian neighbors with
Canada Week.
- The 2010 Great Canadian Picnic kicks off Canada week. 57 years and counting~ that’s how many years the Great Canadian Picnic has been held in Phoenix and this year’s picnic will be held this SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2010 from 10-3 at South Mountain Park in Phoenix. The Great Canadian Picnic is free and open to the public (and no, you don’t have to be a Canadian to attend). Games, food, entertainment and raffles ~ So come on out and meet your Canadian neighbors! Proceeds from the Picnic are used to help pay for children from Calgary to attend Camp Courage, a camp for children survivors of serious burn injuries. Proceeds also go toward the Youth Ambassador Exchange.
- Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies Party. FRIDAY FEBRUARY, 12TH at 6PM – Cheer on your fellow Canadians! Mesa Hohokam Stadium (1235 N. Center Street, Mesa) featuring Big Screens, Live Music, Food, A Real Mountie and Olympic Torchbearer.
