Is it bad form to brag about yourself?

RE/max platinum club awardI just read my name in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 50 Real Estate Agent’s List.  (Based on real estate transactions in 2008)  I was #37 to be exact.  So I was wondering, is it bad form to brag about that?

And is it uncouth to mention that despite 2008 being one of the worst years for real estate sales in decades, I earned the RE/Max Platinum Award for Sales Excellence in 2008.  No small potatoes, actually the second highest level of recognition awarded by the RE/Max International Organization and presented to only 4% of RE/Max Agents worldwide in 2008.

Would I be completely full of myself if I brought up that I recently received the Multi-Million Dollar Producer Award from the Southeast Valley Regional Association of Realtors?  Would it matter that this award was only presented to 66 out of over 9000 Realtor Association Members?

Bragging about all that would probably be a little too “Welcome to the Amy show”, huh?  Might as well get up and sing a song about myself.

So, never mind.  Forget I mentioned it.
