The Heart Attack Grill in Chandler…it ain't your mama's restaurant.

I just heard about the Heart Attack Grill and was intrigued by the name.  Thought it might be a place my husband & I might check out.

I’ll admit, when I go out to eat, I don’t usually order “just a salad, please”.  I like those good stick to your ribs (and your thighs) kind of meals and especially love a good burger.  BUT…The Heart Attack Grill on the corner of Ray & Kyrene in Chandler is not being added to my have- to-go-to” list.

Why?  Well….aside from the limited menu which consists of 4 “heart attack burgers” (from 1 patty up to 4 pattys), “flat line” fries (fried in lard), unfiltered Lucky Strikes and buckets of beer… this restaurant makes Hooter’s feel like a fine dining experience.

The mostly male clientele is probably due to the mostly busty waitresses dressed in barely there nurses costumes.  As for me, the only breasts I want to see in a restaurant are of the chicken variety, prepared on a grill and served over rice.  My husband knows this…right…honey?  Where did he go?

  1. I’ve eaten at the “HAG” a few times. The burgers are decent, but that’s not really what you’re paying for… 😉

  2. Yea, I didn’t think so. I’ve heard (from a woman by the way) the burgers are more like something from a salisbury steak tv dinner, but I doubt anyone of the male persuasion would notice!

For a realtor you are not very savy of direction or location its on Chandler Blvd and Kyrene. The previous location was Warner and Kyrene…….sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. We aim at pleasing our male patrons. Good news there is a Subway across the street, they are likely to have the chicken breast you so desire.

  4. Oh, Nurse Trish. Thank you so much for your suggestion of Subway. I actually do like the chicken breast!

Yes, I am a Realtor and I actually do know my way around quite well! I am a residential specialist and do not sell restaurants, nor do I take my clients to lunch that “aims at pleasing male patrons”.

As for the location of your establishment, as I indicated in my post, I have never eaten there nor have I even seen it (at any of it’s locations). I obtained the location from another online map source (which was apparently wrong), however, my Post was not meant to serve as an advertisement of the restaurant’s location, but merely my personal take on it’s “ambiance” or lack thereof, so admittedly didn’t research the location extensively.

Wishing you many hours of happiness doing what you do best!

I visited HAG in Chandler today and was less than impressed. I let my friends order and decided to skip eating here. I realized that my decision not to eat here was probably a good decision when my friend’s burgers took all of 5min to cook; they had to have been frozen/pre-cooked. The environment of the restaurant itself was also less than par. It looked like plywood was cut and spray painted white.
With the poor food, an environment that looked like a Home Depot do-it-yourself gone wrong, and the tasteless poster in the men’s room above the urinal, the waitresses/servers, seemed out of place. Don’t get me wrong, they were definitely attractive, but just seemed out of place. And they were dressed like hookers, and yes dressing like a hooker makes you a hooker(Dave Chapelle, Killing them softly).
I and my friends found it very amusing that ‘they’ put the less attractive girl behind the grill. lmfao

Why is this on a real estate website, speaking of out of place. This should have been placed on a different website.

I have to agree with Jay that your money isn’t only going towards the burger, but the burgers are not decent, at least not anymore. Every website I’ve visited is the same, 1-2 star ratings(out of 5).

If your into crap burgers and having your ego caressed by half naked girls, then this is the place for you.

  6. Thanks for your comments, Joe.

To answer your question about “why is this on a real estate website?” This is MY Blog. Yes, it does have a lot of real estate information because I am a Realtor, but I am still a well-rounded person. I write about a lot of topics that pertain to life in the Chandler area (because that’s where many of the people I represent happen to live.) I also like to write about life in general because all of the people I represent are alive and, because it is MY Blog, I can.
